EP916-261658 Switchgear Switchboard 2-5 Replacement

This project involves the replacement of Switchgear / Switchboards #2–5 within an existing federal facility in Ottawa. The work includes the demolition of existing electrical distribution equipment, installation of new switchgear, and modifications to the electrical single-line distribution system in the basement, first floor, and third floor electrical rooms. Key components of the upgrade include new transformers, busways, cable trays, and automatic transfer switches (ATS) to enhance system reliability and redundancy. The project also integrates advanced safety and control features, including arc flash detection systems (AFD) and connection to the existing Energy Monitoring and Control System (EMCS). Temporary feeders and phased construction sequencing will be implemented to maintain a continuous power supply, including normal, emergency, and uninterruptible power systems throughout the work.
