The Problem
The Canadian federal government spends over $20 billion per year on goods and services. The US federal government spends over $700 billion. Yet most small businesses never bid on a government contract because they don't know where to look or how to start.
Existing platforms like paid tender platforms, BidNet, and manual CanadaBuys/SAM.gov searches require hours of daily keyword searching. Results are buried in government jargon. Relevant opportunities get missed.
How GovBid Works
1. Daily Ingestion
Every day, GovBid pulls thousands of new tenders from official procurement sources across Canada and the United States. Each tender is parsed, cleaned, and stored in our database.
2. AI Classification
Every tender is classified by industry, estimated value, location, and eligibility criteria using a combination of NAICS code matching and AI-assisted industry classification.
3. Profile Matching
Your subscriber profile (industry, location, business size, past contract experience) is scored against every new tender. Only contracts scoring above a relevance threshold make it to your digest.
4. Daily Email Digest
Every morning, you receive an email with your matched contracts. Each includes a plain-English summary, estimated value, closing date, and direct link to the government portal where you can bid.

GovBid uses AI-assisted classification and scoring to organize tenders for search, matching, and summaries. Each tender is scored against subscriber profiles on dimensions including industry relevance, NAICS code match, geographic proximity, keyword overlap, and contract value fit.
The system runs a daily pipeline that ingests, classifies, matches, and delivers tenders automatically. An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is available for AI agents to query tenders programmatically.
