Sources Sought: Ultrasound Technologist Technician Services for the Pine Ridge Indian Health Service (IHS) Hospital Sources Sought Notice Number: IHS1528625 This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation, an obligation or commitment by the Indian Health Service. This notice is intended strictly for market research to determine the availability of Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE), Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE), or Other Small Businesses. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The anticipated applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 621512-Diagnostic Imaging Centers. 1.0 BACKGROUND The Pine Ridge IHS requires Radiology contract services due to the Indian Health Service experiencing an insufficient number of permanent government employees; therefore, contract support is essential for the Pine Ridge IHS to function in its full capacity. 2.0 OBJECTIVE The primary objective is to establish a Firm Fixed Price, Performance Based, Non-Personal, Direct Patient Care Medical Service contract to provide three (3) FTE Ultrasound Technologist Technicians to support the Radiology Department for the Pine Ridge IHS Hospital and Outlying Clinics. 3.0 CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS/ AND PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS Ultrasound Technologists shall be capable of performing a full range of sonographic procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric/gynecologic, vascular, and small parts imaging. Real-time image acquisition, optimization, and evaluation to ensure diagnostic adequacy. Adjusting imaging techniques and parameters based on patient condition, anatomy, and clinical indications. Recognize normal and abnormal findings and ensuring appropriate image documentation for radiologist interpretation. Shall: Integrate seamlessly with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary personnel to support efficient patient throughput and continuity of care. Maintain strict adherence to patient safety practices, including infection control and patient identification protocols. Be fully trained and competent in the facility’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and imaging systems to ensure accurate documentation, patient tracking, and encounter completion. Meet all credentialing requirements, including appropriate certifications, licensure (if applicable), and compliance with facility-specific onboarding protocols and the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Services must be performed in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including radiation safety requirements. Contractor personnel must comply with accreditation standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission. Adherence to imaging quality standards, infection control protocols, and patient safety requirements is mandatory to ensure uninterrupted accreditation and quality patient care. 4.0 TYPE OF ORDER The Government anticipates a commercial acquisition; contract type has not yet been determined and will be informed by market research results. 5.0 ANTICIPATED PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE This will be a six-week base period plus ten six-week option periods, beginning with the date of award. 6.0 PLACE OF PERFORMANCE Pine Ridge IHS Hospital, 607 Indian Health Rd, Pine Ridge, SD 7.0 Capability Statement/Information: Interested parties are requested to submit a capability statement for market research purposes only, in accordance with FAR Part 10 and the FAR Revolutionary Overhaul (RFO) emphasis on commercial-first acquisition strategies. Responses shall address the following areas to assist the Government in assessing the availability of commercially available for Ultrasound Technologist Services: 1. Commercial Capability Overview Describe your company’s commercially available Ultrasound Technologist services. 2. Alignment with Government Objectives Provide a high-level description of how your commercial service could support the objectives described in this Sources Sought Notice. A draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) is provided for reference only to illustrate the Government’s anticipated operational environment and scope; respondents are not required to meet all draft PWS elements at this stage. 3.
