Briefings cover Type 20 and Type 24 LPM specifications, the LPM Rotational Module, periscope technology progression, and acquisition strategy (NAICS 334511, search/navigation/guidance instruments). Event held 22 June 2026 in the Washington, DC area.

Full Description

Industry Day Overview: Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager (DRPM) for Submarines, Director of AUKUS, International, and Systems (AI&S), Submarine Electromagnetic Systems Program Office (PMS 435) will host an Industry Day to brief interested parties on the Low Profile Mast (LPM) program on 22 June 2026 from 1000 to 1630 EDT in the Washington, D.C. area. The purpose of this event is to provide Government information and solicit industry feedback to accelerate the development and production of LPMs and LPM components. The LPM Industry Day will provide an overview of: Type 20 and 24 LPM functional and performance specifications; LPM Rotational Module (RM) functional and performance specifications; Periscope technology progression; and Program and acquisition strategy. During the LPM industry day. PMS 435 also intends to host 1-on-1 engagement sessions for industry to provide feedback on its capabilities and the proposed LPM program and acquisition strategy. PMS 435 is the Navy's Program Office that designs, develops, and oversees the construction of Electronic Warfare Systems, periscopes, and the Photonics Mast. The LPM is a next-generation, modular, non-hull-penetrating optronic and photonic imaging sensor that supports the global superiority of the U.S. Navy by providing mission critical all- weather imaging capabilities for U.S. Navy fleet submarine classes. It is a core outboard component of the AN/BVY-1 Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS), which integrates into the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS), and is designed to provide submarines with high-definition visual imaging, infrared imaging, and radio frequency  processing while minimizing radar and optical signatures. Each LPM consists of four (4) major components which include the Antenna Assembly (AA), Sensor Module (SM), Electronics Module (EM), and RM. While the LPM and its components must endure significant pressure and depth, these products are not SUBSAFE. Market Research Questionnaire: To support this market research effort, PMS 435 has attached a brief questionnaire to this industry day notice. This questionnaire is designed to gather key insights regarding industry’s technical capabilities, manufacturing capacity, and business models for Low Profile Masts (LPMs) and their components. Additionally, the questionnaire provides detailed guidance on how qualified vendors can request access to the performance and functional specifications for the Type 20 LPM, Type 24 LPM, and the LPM rotational module. PMS 435 welcomes feedback from all interested parties, including both traditional and non-traditional defense contractors.  To request access to documents which are marked CUI, please submit the attached registration form. PMS 435 will then issue a Terms of Use Agreement (TOUA), which must be signed and returned to the designated POCs before the CUI is released. Please note that submitting a response is not a prerequisite for participation in the industry day. Interested parties may participate in the industry day, questionnaire, or both in response to this RFI.   Industry Day Information: The Industry Day event will be held in the Washington, D.C. area. The specific location and details for joining the event will be provided via separate correspondence to pre-registered and approved companies only. See Attachment " LPM Photonics Mast Industry Day Registration Form” to register for Industry Day. Pre-registration is required to participate in the LPM Industry Day. Registration on the day of the event is not allowed. Indicate on the registration form all representatives of your company that will participate in Industry Day. The Government's presentation will begin promptly at 1000 EDT. If the company is approved for Industry Day, the Government will send a calendar invite to each company's designated representative identified on the attached registration form. Each company is restricted to two participants during general presentation and up to six during one-on-one engagement session. A virtual environment or teleconference number will not be available for the Industry Day presentation or one-on-one sessions. One-on-one engagement sessions will be conducted during the afternoon of 22 June 2026 from 1200 to 1600 EDT. Engagement sessions are one-on-one meetings between the Government and individual approved companies and are intended for industry to ask questions and provide feedback to the Navy. Limited engagement session slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Indicate on the registration form if your company is interested in scheduling a one-on-one engagement session. The Government will forward assigned timeslots to individual companies via separate correspondence prior to Industry Day. Access for all Industry Day events will be restricted to AUKUS companies only, i.e., companies registered in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia . Audio or
