Questions and Answers
Due to the areas that this work will be performed, what times will be permissible working hours? Please advise. Due to the nature and location of the work, night and weekend work may be required. The project duration is 120 calendar days from NTP. Pending the final ICRA posting, limited daytime work may be permissible within the surgery ward only.
Are there specific locations for the Area alarm supporting Recovery Room #3204 Item 2 and Zone valve boxes listed for Items 3 and 4 in the statement of work? No. Final locations will be determined after contract award. Item 5 in the statement of work states needing one valve per room. What type of valve is required for these areas and will an alarm be needed for pressure loss indication? Refer to NFPA 99, project specifications, and specification updates. May the testing certification firm also act as the CXA with reports as in Attachment III? Please advise. Commissioning: Commission shall comply per Specification 22 08 00 and Specification 01 91 00, including completion of Pre-Functional Checklists, Systems Functional Performance Tests witnessed by the COMMISSIONING AGENT (CXA), and submission of signed test reports and training deliverables. Refer to NFPA 99, specifications, and specification updates. This language is generic and can be removed as it is not part of the scope. SOW #2: Can you provide as-builts for the recovery room? See Third Floor Architectural Original drawings. SOW #2: Have you identified a suitable location for the new AAP? Can you provide pictures of the new location? None identified at this time. Location will be determined after award. SOW #2: We have to open drywall to install the new AAP, is there an ICRA plan for this area? An ICRA plan will be provided; currently in development. SOW #2: We have to pull a new 120VAC E-power circuit to the AAP; what is the closest electrical room? See Third Floor Architectural Original drawings. What is the estimated distance from the electrical room to the new panel? See Third Floor Architectural Original drawings. Are there spare circuits available in the panel, or will we be tie-ing into an existing medical gas alarm panel circuit? Yes, access will be limiting due to current construction on the third-floor fproject.
Can you provide pictures of the panel we will be tie-ing the new circuit into? Right now, the electrical panel is under construction for the third-floor project.
SOW #2: Confirming all low voltage wire must be run in conduit? Refer to project specifications and specification updates. SOW #3: Can you provide as-builts for the pre-op area? See Third Floor Architectural Original drawings. SOW #3: Have you identified a suitable location for the new zone valve boxes (ZVB s)? Can you provide pictures of the new locations? See Third Floor Architectural Original Drawings. Current ZVB in room 3304 (see IMG 0709) will need to be removed and placed in the main hallway (two new ones are required for the existing room and place in the hallway). In room 3315 (no new ZVBs are required. Two existing are location outside OP room) &. As wall or door must be built in the hall by the end of HVAC room (see IMG 0713 & 0714).

SOW #4: Have you identified a suitable location for the new Nitrogen ZVB s? Can you provide pictures of the new location? An ICRA plan will be provided; currently in development. SOW #4: We have to open drywall to install the new Nitrogen ZVB s, is there an ICRA plan for this area? An ICRA plan will be provided, currently in development. SOW #5: Can you provide an ICRA plan for this area? An ICRA plan will be provided, currently in development. SOW #5: Can you confirm the intent is to tie-in the new WAGD inlets to the existing Medical Vacuum zone valve box? This is allowed by NFPA, as long as it is 5 back from the vacuum inlet and labeled accordingly. Yes. Tie-in to existing system is permissible. See Floor Compressed MedGas (Surgery). Would a ceiling inlet with a drop hose be acceptable? Yes. Drop-down assemblies are acceptable.
