TYPE 3H FIRE ENGINES

Requiring Office: USFS Washington Office - Fleet NAICS: 336211 Motor Vehicle Body Manufacturing. PSC: 4210 Fire Fighting Equipment Title: Type 3H Fire Engine The US Forest Service intends to solicit and award a contract for five (5) Type 3H (heavy) Fire Engine bodies custom built to Forest Service national standard specifications and mount on Government-furnished 4X4, crew cab, cab and chassis, per USDA Forest Service national standard specifications issued May 2025(c). The contract award will include Type 3H (heavy) Fire Engine bodies custom built to Forest Service national standard specifications and mount on Government-furnished 4X4, crew cab, cab and chassis, operational training, and delivery to various locations within Colorado, Oregon, and South Dakota. The contract will be in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.1 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services, in conjunction with FAR Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The resulting contract award will be a 100% Total Small Business Set – aside, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The anticipated date of solicitation will be approximately 15 business days after the date of this posted pre-solicitation. The anticipated delivery date of the type 3H fire apparatuses, according to USDA Forest Service Specification will be before or on 24 months from the date of receipt of first Government-furnished chassis.
