DEPLOYABLE WEATHER OBSERVATION SYSTEM

The Department of National Defence is seeking a commercial-off-the-shelf weather observation and reporting system that is highly portable, low maintenance, battery operated and has a small form-factor (size and weight) to permit field carriage and set-up by a single individual. The system must autonomously collect, analyze and store environmental data, and be capable of transmitting the weather parameters via various means including satellite, hard-wire, RF, and cellular. The Contract will include optional quantities and In-Service Support throughout the contract years.
