The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center (VAMC) has identified a Brand Name or Equal requirement to improve physical security and controlled access within patient ward corridors located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of the Bed Tower. This requirement supports patient safety and facility operations by providing automatic door assemblies at designated locations. No photos are provided, therefore a site-visit is warranted. The contractor shall furnish, deliver, install, adjust, calibrate, test, and place into full operation twelve (12) commercial automatic single bi fold sliding door assemblies in accordance with the Statement of Need. Pricing shall include all materials, door panels, frames, integrated locking hardware, transmitter buttons, receiver components, delivery, freight, labor, equipment, incidental installation, adjustment, calibration, functional testing, warranty, overhead, profit, and any other costs necessary to provide a complete and fully operational door assembly. Offerors proposing an equal product must submit sufficient documentation demonstrating that their offered equipment meets all salient characteristics identified in the Statement of Need. Note: A site-visit will be held on Monday August 3,2026 at 10:00am. All participants shall meet at the Bed-Tower Entrance of the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. Plan accordingly as parking is limited and late arrivals may not have the opportunity to participate in the site-visit.
