THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Richmond Central Virginia VA Health Care System, is conducting market research for solid waste removal service including collection and disposal of all solid waste, garbage, and recycling. This notice does NOT constitute a request for quote. No formal solicitation document exists currently. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Contractor is responsible for the comprehensive management of the waste and recyclable materials to include program development and tracking, and marketing of the recyclable commodities to ensure the program objectives are met in the PWS. This contract will not cover hazardous chemical waste disposal or radioactive materials. Requirement is expected to have a Period of Performance from 10/1/2026 with 4 option years included. Solid Waste and recycling removal are required at the following sites: Base Year October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027 CLIN Description Quantity Unit 0001 One (1) each 42CY compacted general waste. 42CY - emptying of containers every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, including legal holidays. Location at the Sani-pak compacter at the rear of the hospital. 156 PU 0002 One (1) compacted general waste 35CY government owned sani-pak. 35CY - emptying containers every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, including legal holidays. Location at the rear of the hospital. 156 JB 0003 Rental of 4 dumpsters, waste 8-yard container. 12 MO 0004 3 each, emptying of containers every Wednesday including legal holidays, locations Utility Plant buildings 507 and 513. 156 JB 0005 1 emptying of container every Wednesday, location lot 15. 52 JB 0006 Dispose/tipping fee charges. 1600 TN 0007 3 each - 40CY container, emptying of container Monday/Wednesday/ Friday including legal holidays. 468 JB 0008 Rental of 4 containers, 30 CY. 12 MO 0009 Three (30 yard), each emptying of containers Thursday including legal holidays, locations rear of hospital container for recyclable (1); adjacent to Engineering shop entrance (1); mixed recyclable wood/municipal waste including pallets (1) 156 JB 0010 30yd - Mixed recyclable metal. If insufficient veteran owned small business responses are received, the acquisition will be set-aside for small business participation if there are sufficient firms available. If insufficient small business responses are received, the action will be advertised for full and open competition.
