Acquisition of Specific Pathogen Free Live Animals

The Department of National Research Council Canada (NRC), Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre, requires the supply and delivery of Specific Pathogen-Free (SPF) laboratory animals, or equivalent, required to support approved research protocols including mice, rats, hamsters, and rabbits. All animals must meet specified criteria related to genotype, health status, sex, age, weight, and pregnancy status. They must also be housed and bred in full compliance with Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) guidelines.
